Victorian Steinway Grand Transformation

We recently restored a Steinway Grand Piano for a client in Vermont.  It was built in 1894 and was in poor condition.  We were commissioned to restore the Victorian Steinway piano completely inside and out.  I thought I would share several photos of the Steinway before and after restoration.  The Steinway now looks absolutely incredible.

Steinway Louis XV Grand Piano

We just purchased a Steinway Louis XV Grand piano.  It is a Steinway Model B which makes it to be almost seven feet in length.  We bought it from a client in Califoria and it is being shipped across the entire US to our facility in NJ.  Once the Steinway arrives to our facility I will update our website with several pictures of this beautiful masterpiece.  Over a year ago, we sold a Steinway Louis XV Grand Piano, Model A, to a client in California.  We complely restored it to its new condition.  There is a photograph of the Steinway below.  The Louis XV Steinway Grand piano is one of the more rarer styles.  www.lindebladpiano.com

First Entry

This is my first entry on this blog.  I’m not much of a writer but I thought I would give this a try.  I am the fourth generation of a family business restoring pianos – www.lindebladpiano.com.  My family has restored thousands of pianos ranging in different brands such as Steinway, Mason & Hamlin, Knabe, Sohmer, Chickering, Baldwin,  and the list goes on and on.  My great grandfather emigrated from Sweden and then his son went into the piano business and worked for Steinway & Sons in New York.  He then left there and started his own restoration company in New Jersey.  My father then was taught the business and he then taught me the art of restoring pianos.  We are now on our fourth generation and restore and sell grand pianos for clients all across the country.

My favorite piano is the world renown Steinway piano.  We mainly focus on restoring Steinway Grand pianos which can be viewed on our website at: www.lindebladpiano.com/gallery.asp.  I plan on updating any of the Steinway pianos that our family restores to keep track of all the different styles etc.  We just recently acquired a very rare Louis XVI Steinway from a client in Michigan.  I’m going to try uploading the picture to this blog.
